
Rikako MURATA
Born in Tokyo, Rikako Murata studied at "Tokyo National University of fine arts and music (Geidai) between 1992 and 1996 with Prof. Tami YABE, Yoshie KOHRA, Nana HAMAGUCHI and Halina Czerny STEFANSKA. During her school years, she played with the University Orchestra as the Top of the university.Since 1996, as DAAD scholarship student, she continued her studies at the "Universitat der Kunste" Berlin in the class of Prof.Pascal Devoyon. In February 2000, she graduated and obtained her Diplom with the best point (1.0) and got the possibility to enter in "Konzertexam", a class to compare with the third cycle of Paris Conservatoire.
In 1998, she gave her Debut in Berlin with "das Sinfonie Orchester Berlin". Thanks to the splendid performance of the Piano Concerto KV 467 of Mozart, she played already 15 times in the Philharmonie Hall in Berlin (Rachmaninoff 2, St Saens 2 and 3, Liszt 1, Beethoven 2,3 and 4, Grieg...).
She recorded as well for severals Radios and played concerts in Berlin, Tokyo, Paris... In 2002, she was invites to the Festival "Printemps des alizes" in Morocco and is regularly invited to Festival like MusicAlp (Frankreich), Apeldoorn (Holland)... Since 2003, she teaches at the "Universitat der Kunste" (UdK) Berlin as assistant of Pascal Devoyon.She plays 2pianos with her husband Pascal Devoyon. In 2008, they will record CD with french 2piano music, and do concert tour in Japan.(Tokyo, Osaka, Kagoshima, Sapporo....etc)
1997, finalist of Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Spain.
2000 3rd Prize in Porto International Piano Competition in Portugal.
